Your happiest run
It's been 31 years since runners first crossed the finish line at the Bupa Great North Run, and since then thousands more have joined them, creating hundreds of miles of smiles. The world's largest half marathon is also the world's happiest and this year Bupa will be doing everything possible to give you an extra reason to grin your way to the finish.
On the start line, you'll go through a warm up to get you race ready and raring to go. We'll see you again at the ten mile point where happy music and cheerleaders will power you on for the last three miles. Finally, the Bupa Boost Zone will be at the finish line, providing massages and physio, as well as smile screens to keep you feeling positive.
We'll be announcing plenty more in the build up to race day, so to keep up to date, visit our Facebook and Twitter pages.
